Halloween 2011: Jewish celebrity edition
Although Halloween is not until tonight, most parties and celebrations went down over the weekend.
Like every year, the main attraction in Hollywood was Heidi Klum’s Halloween Party and Kate Hudson threw one as well, while New Yorkers celebrated with Bette Midler and her Hulaween gala. Jewish celebrities showed up to all the parties and brought their costume A-Game with them:
Amar’e Stoudemire
of the New York Knicks continued his Jewish soul-searching as he dressed up as King Solomon, and even tweeted about it, saying: “King Solomon. Learn about him.” What a boss.

Rashida Jones
dressed up as a Blow Pop for Kate Hudson’s party
Bethenny Frankel
dressed up as Hello Kitty for Heidi Klum’s party
Debra Messing and husband Daniel Zelman
came to Bette Midler’s party dressed as what seems to be some kind of a spooky hybrid of Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas
Judd Apatow and Leslie Man
dressed up as a very early 90s couple
Eli Roth
dressed up as a… beat up Hustler?
Michael Kors
came to Midler’s party dressed as a zombish-looking mariachi band member
Lea Michele
dressed up as White Swan from Black Swan
Bette Midler
The organizer of the main New York party at the Waldorf-Astoria, which benefits the New York Restoration Project, dressed up pretty scary, and also pretty daring for the 65-year old actress.
What was your favorite? Was it Amar’e and his little lesson in Jewish history or maybe Michael Kors and his Mexican-Zombie apocalypse? Let us know!

About Jew-Jew Barea (328 posts)
Julio Juan "Jew-Jew" Barea was born in the thin air of La Paz, Bolivia, to a family of Jewish llama farmers. From young age, Jew-Jew used to hop on the fluffy back of Rico, his favorite llama, and get to the nearest newspaper stand so he could read about the rich and famous of Hollywood. Time was Jew-Jew's hombre and he grew up to be quite the ladies' man. In his high school yearbook, Barea was voted as "Most Eligible Mustache" of 1998, a title which made him a legend among his friends and earned him a free supply of flan. After high school he decided to take Rico, jump on his furry back and head up to Hollywood. He still gets flan delivered to his apartment every Tuesday.
